General questions

  • The schedules for swimming courses and swimming schools are visible in our online store.

    In the online store, it's possible to filter the view based on the time. First, choose the type of lesson you prefer, and then you can refine your search by selecting the location or service. Additionally, there is a selection panel from which you can filter the view based on the time of day or the day of the week.

    Please note that a swimming course or swimming school will no longer appear in our online store once it is fully booked. If you have enrolled in a course, you will find the schedule and course details in the booking confirmation email you received.

  • According to our terms and conditions, cancellations for reserved courses must be made at least two weeks before the start date in order to cancel participation entirely or reschedule to another date.

    If you cancel your participation within 1-14 days before the course start date, we will charge 50% of the total course price. No refund will be issued if there is less than 24 hours until the start time. You can read more about our terms and conditions here.

    The prices of services include a 15€ administrative fee, which is non-refundable in the event of contract termination.

  • Yes, you can! We accept the following payment methods for sports benefits: ePassi, Smartum Pay, Edenred, Virike-notes and Smartum Liikunta & Liikunta ja kulttuuri -notes.

    Please note that sports benefits are personal, and you cannot use them for other people's course fees — including those of your children. Instructions for using sports benefits can be found here.

Absences from swimming lessons

  • For a single absence, you don't need to inform the course instructor.

    You can make up for a missed swimming session with a separate compensation session. First, fill out the form here. After filling out the form, you will receive instructions for booking a compensation session.

    In case of longer sick leaves, you can contact customer service, and we will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis.

  • For a single absence, there's no need to inform the course instructor, a separate absence notification is not necessary.

    You can make up for a missed swimming session with a separate compensation session. First, fill out the form here. After filling out the form, you will receive instructions for booking a makeup session.

  • You can make up for your absence from swimming lessons with a separate compensation lesson at any of our swimming facilities; you do not need to book the compensation lesson at the same swimming facility where you participate in the course-based instruction.

Online store

  • You can pay in the online store with online bank payment, major credit cards, and invoicing.

  • You can use a promo code in the online store when making a reservation by entering the received promotional code in the 'Promotional Code' section. Log in to the online store to activate the offer.

  • If the promo code you received isn't working in the online store, first ensure that you are logged in to the online store with your customer account. Also, double-check the spelling of the promotional code, as the online store doesn't recognize possible typos or spaces in the promotional code. Please note the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters when entering the promotional code.

Swimming courses and swimming schools

  • The descriptions and skill requirements for the swimming courses and swimming schools are compiled on our website. Skill requirements for the adult swimming courses can be also found on our online shop.

  • In our swimming lessons, all you need is a swimsuit, towel, and swimming goggles. Good swimming goggles are a crucial part of a successful swimming experience.

    For open water courses, a swimmer's buoy is a mandatory accessory, and we also recommend wearing a wetsuit, especially in cooler natural waters.

    To support swimming, you may also consider acquiring flippers, a pull buoy, hand paddles, and a kickboard if necessary. Swimming lessons occasionally use aids to support teaching. All teaching aids used in the courses are available at the facilities; we do not require swimming course participants to purchase their own swimming equipment.

  • A child should have swimming goggles for swimming lessons; good swimming goggles are a crucial part of a successful swimming experience.

    Good swimming goggles make it easier to be in the water. Swimming goggles protect the eyes from water splashes, and they also help to see where you are going even when diving. By using swimming goggles, the child can better focus on learning to swim.

    The swimming courses and swimming schools are held during private shifts, meaning that there will only be FitPit customers at the pool during the times of the lessons.

  • Private swimming lessons can be arranged in the metropolitan area, in public swimming pools or in private swimming pools that FitPit uses. You can find a list of our swimming locations here or you can suggest a different location to us.

  • You can send an email to asiakaspalvelu@fitpit.fi and we will forward it to your instructor. Please remember to mention the time, location and name of your group.
